Here is one of the few Space Marines that I have drawn in my life time. I do plan on drawing more Space Marines, I've just never get around to it. Anyway, here's a sketch of my favourite Space Marine, a Battle Chaplain.

For those of you who don't know, a Space Marine Battle Chaplain is the spiritual caretaker of the Space Marines in a Chapter. Chaplains are one of the most fearless and furious Space Marines in a Chapter. They wear the "Death Mask" to instill fear into the hearts of the enemies. Always on the front line or where the battle is at it's most intense to inspire his Brother Marines, all the while chanting words of death to the foe and singing praises to the Emperor and to the Chapter Master.

Most Space Marine Veterans will have a laurel painted or added to their helemt. I figured it would be a cool idea to have the Chaplain; being the embodiment of Death, have a Crown of Throns instead. So, just in case you were wondering what's on the sides of his helmet.

The Space Marine, The Emperor, Chapter Master, Battle Brother and Battle Chaplain and other Warhammer 40K themes/ characters/ concepts/ phrases rightfully belong to Games Workshop. May the God Emperor have what little mercy he has on those that dare think of stealing from his Imperium.
